Twitter is starting to lose its momentum as the dominant social media platform. Twitter is slowly being replaced by Instagram, for now, until something new comes along. Forbes reported that the number of monthly users has been declining more and more every quarter, it has gotten so bad that Twitter has actually decided to stop reporting the number. Instagram has passed Twitter in the number of monthly numbers, 1 billion to 270 million. The media that helps best to maintain the integrity of journalism is that fact-checking is immediately assessible. It is extremely easy to be able to look up any information you want, so audiences are able to do a lot of research in a short period of time while putting forth little amounts of effort.
